This is because the imperative verb (Form I) is formed with a Hamza-wasl at the starting of the word. Hamza-wasl signifies that it is not pronounced when it is read with its preceding word or particle. For example in the First imperative mentioned in this list, look what has happened رَبَّنَا وَابْعَثْ (2:129)<br />When pronounced separately, the imperatives follow a rule: if the third letter from the beginning contain /a/ or /i/ vowel sign, the Hamza-wasl will take /i/ sound, e.g. اِبْعَثْ<br />But if the third letter from the beginning has the /u/ vowel sign, the Hamza-wasl will take /u/ sound, e.g. in the 4th , 5th , 6th instances of this list the Hamza-wasl will take /u/ sound اُتْرُكْ<br />Fazlul Haquehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12357985709717631866noreply@blogger.com
