The morphological data analysis of the Quran shows 3 types
of Noun-Adjective patterns in general. The Third Noun-Adjective Combination is
{(Possessive) N-Pron} +( Det + Adj).
A well-known example can be found in the verse (7:16)
قَالَ فَبِمَا
أَغْوَيْتَنِي لَأَقْعُدَنَّ لَهُمْ صِرَاطَكَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
[Satan] said, "Because You have put me in error, I
will surely sit in wait for them on Your straight path
In Quranic Arabic, possessive combination achieves the
status of definiteness, so it is followed by a definite adjective. Grammatical
