Quranic
Syntax: Possessive Structures of the Quran
Complex
Arabic grammatical rules sometimes distract learners from the Quran. So, it is
better to give them some easy syntactic combinations like the possessive
structures. Now it is possible to extract all the possessive combinations through
corpus database.
In the sample
table below, I have extracted some possessive Noun+Noun combinations from the
Quran. There are other possibilities like N+DET+N combinations that I will deal
with in another post.
Making a
comprehensive list of possessive structures of the whole Quran needs a lot of time,
patience and manual assistance.
